"In my restless dreams, I see that town. Silent Hill. You promised you'd take me there again someday. But you never did. Well I'm alone there now... In our 'special place'... Waiting for you..."
Another SH piece in the spirit of the movie coming out this week.
Edit: James will not be getting the Maria Ending, most likely...
it captures the essence of ol' sunderland quite well, not only the
facial similarities, like the shadow overcast of his sunken eyes or the
signature bangs, but the expression of confusion and uncertainty as
well; which also ties in as to why he is holding a map for direction in
the naturally disorienating town.
the downward, upward looking perspective is a neat touch and the
papered textures are quite fitting for that fog atmosphere.
even though he isn't killing any monsters, like in every other fanart,
it's a original take on the guy and has more of that ambient style to
it, similiar to that of the adventure and exploring parts of the game.
Okay, I find it very odd because I was right about to draw James just this moment.. but anyway... more importantly.. The angle is great... his expression is quite fitting and the style is wonderful...
Always happy to see more work from you.

The mailbox is empty. There's no letter... from a dead wife or otherwise. Well, I don't have one of those anyway.
Hey man...can I ask you a big favour?
I mean...I know you're going to go watch the movie when it comes out soon, but can you send me a note or something about how you thought it was...like either good or bad or completely off the Silent Hill style.
As for this new piece...what I like most about it is the great consideration of angle you've got there. The perspective is awesome! The piece also ties in very well (well...I guess thats what you wanted) with the whole concept of Silent Hill 2...a man looking for his dead wife with only a letter to go by. Nice touches with "Nathan Ave." and the electricity pole!
Keep it up man...I love your pieces.

Actually two days for you Americans... It doesn’t come out in Sweden in like forty more days...
To the picture, love. You do the most amazing details.

Been wanting to play a little more with angles, thought James would be an excellent subject.
And I am happy you like it
